A Good Home Based Business Coach Will Have the Gift of Encouragement
A home based business coach will wear many hats over the course of time. One such hat is that of encourager.
This is one of my favorites. Not everyone is a good encourager. But if you strive to be a home business mentor, you
will want to practice getting better in this department.
By reading this article you will see what a difference you can make simply by encouraging others. It's one of
the most important things that you will do as you build your business.
Passing on encouraging words to a wounded spirit can be so healing and motivating. You know, it's not a piece of
cake establishing a business. Once you get going, it's so much easier because you have momentum and some success
which creates more confidence and leadership posture which in turn creates more success.
However, in the early building days, there can be more frequent mistakes made, higher levels of frustration,
lack of confidence and self image, and well, just times of drought and doubt. This is where a home business coach
can be invaluable.
I've been there.
I know what it's like to work and work and work and not see the results of that labor.
I know what it's like not being able to grasp instructions to make technology go.
I know what it's like to not have the words to say to handle objections.
Goodness!
I never want to forget those feelings and my beginnings because it keeps me grounded. It helps me be a better
encourager to others.
Once in awhile during a coaching session as my student and I are talking about a strategy, I am able to sense
that something is wrong. Turns out I'm usually right and it's most often simply discouragement or there's something
very heavy going on in their life. In that case, if they want, I simply lend an ear and an encouraging word.
There are times as a home based mentor where I've have had an appointment to discuss, oh, I don't know, let's
say . . . article marketing, but end up after a few minutes just talking about how something else that was totally
unexpected.
We are people.
Life happens.
While I'm certainly a far cry from a counselor, sometimes people just need someone who cares and is willing to
lend an ear for a few minutes.
I've been known to cry with someone, laugh with someone, pray with someone, or just reassure them that there's a
purpose for them.
