Fill In The Gaps With eBay For Your Home
Business

One of the greatest things about the Internet is the variety
of income producing opportunities available there are to the average person. For example, if your main source of
income is AdSense, there may be periods that traffic is low and consequently your income is as well. That’s when
the Internet can be such a great source of opportunity.
It’s well known that eBay can provide an opportunity in
selling almost anything online from the comfort of your home office. When your main source of income is low eBay
can also become a great opportunity to fill in the gaps of your regular income. You may be saying to yourself that
finding the right product to sell and setting it up can be a hassle but that isn’t necessarily true if you follow a
few simple tips.
First and foremost make sure you have set up a sellers
account on eBay. Even if you don’t have a product, it’s a good idea to sign up for a seller’s account and set up
your PayPal account as well. If you have this ready and available to you, you can turn it on at a minute’s notice
and start selling.
Second, and this is optionable, it’s good to have a
membership to a good wholesale directory. I mean the kind of wholesale directory that has analysis tools as well.
My personal preference is Worldwide Brands. A Worldwide
Brands membership is a one time fee for some incredible analysis tools for finding reputable wholesale sourcing and
product viability. My preference is for wholesale drop- shippers because it’s a simple process, without any
inventory.
Once you have found the right product it’s a simple process
to get it listed on eBay, however here is a great tip. Always try to get the best product shot that you can. Many
wholesalers can provide stock photography, though it’s best to have several angles of the product for the best
results. If you have a website, host your pictures on your own site. Also, this is the tip, write your product
information and graphics in an html format with the product graphics hosted on your site. In this way you can put
extra pictures of the product on eBay without incurring any additional fees. I do this all of the time and it works
great. Always try to keep your costs down to the bare minimum.
If you don’t have access to a good wholesale directory you an
use eBay Pulse http://pulse.ebay.com/ to find out what the hottest items are
in all of their categories. It’s a good idea to do as much research as possible. Using the Worldwide Brands
service I suggest trying to come up with niche products by using a niche theme generator. I recommend Website
Toolbox Pro. It’s a good all around utilities program and it has a niche theme generator. Enter in the
results of the niche theme generator into the product description bar of WWBs and shop around for products that have a high
probability of success. You can also utilize eBay Pulse for this but you will not get as much detail on the
product’s viability or where you can find a dropshipper.
The point of this article is that as an Internet Marketer you
have options for opportunities outside of your primary income stream and it’s a good practice to have as many
options as possible.
