Thanks for stopping by our home business blog.  We will try to keep up with the latest news and trends as we receive information.  Starting a home business doesn’t  always mean that you have to go it alone.  There are thousands of others around the world attempting to do the same and many are willing to share information and tips.  That’s what this blog is all about.

Home Business Research has been online since 1998 offering sound advice, resources and information on starting and managing online home based businesses.  These ten years have been interesting to say the least but I don’t think that the best days of the Internet have passed I believe they are yet to come and we will see the Internet become the most powerful economic force in the world.  Quite a prediction but I truly believe it.

If you already have a website you are most likely showing AdSense ads for some additional income.  One of my pet projects is keeping up with Google Adsense and trying to provide an honest and sincere view on changes to that program as they happen.  There is a lot of information out there on Google Adsense and quite frankly some of the best free information is directly from Google.  You may not always agree with some of Google’s business decisions but  they provide some of the best Adsense information on their site, on making Adsense work for you.

Also one of my pet peeves is Internet Marketing and the truth, or lack of, in it.  Especially in these difficult economic times the importance of truth in advertising is important.  Money is tight and those who are industrious want to make ends meet by attempting to make a few extra dollars should not be preyed upon by unscrupulous marketers.  I know it’s not a perfect world but some of the outright lies are just awful.

Yes there will be advertising on this blog, but the real and most important aspect will be to communicate with other business owners and attempt to share information in an open forum. Sounds lofty, but it’s my intention to always be up front with my answers and commentary.  I hope to live up to a higher standard and be profitable at the same time.

Remember that managing an online business is a learning experience as the Internet is constantly evolving.  So what is good today may not be so good tomorrow.  We will make the best effort in attempting to bring to you the most up to date information and resources that we possibly can.
